Dear Mr. McDonough,
This is an update from Hunter Ian Hart on my college progress. The Give Kids A Chance Scholarship Program selected my application for the 2007 sponsorship award of $1,000.00. What an honor it is to be chosen to receive this most auspicious award.
After high school graduation, I enrolled at Hillsborough Community College (HCC). My plan is to obtain an Associate in Arts Degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design in Digital Media/Multimedia Technology and then transfer to the University of Central Florida (UCF) to earn my bachelor’s degree in Digital Media. Currently, I am enrolled in 13 credit hours at HCC as well as 3 credit hours at St. Petersburg College (SPC). I have completed 27 credit hours at HCC, and achieved a 3.788 GPA. In addition to attending HCC, I am also registered at St. Petersburg College (SPC), and have completed 3 credit hours; my GPA at SPC is 4.0. To date, I have completed 30 credit hours since graduating from Brandon High School in May of 2007.
In the fall, I was inducted into The National Society of Leadership and Success as well as Phi Theta Kappa. In December, I was accepted into the HCC Honors Institute. In addition to these organizations, I have joined Electronic Generation known as EGen, a gaming club, which meets every Thursday at the HCC Brandon Campus. During the spring semester, I will be helping to form a “new” gaming club for the HCC Dale Mabry Campus, which should be challenging and fun.
Mr. McDonough please extend my sincere thanks to everyone at the Give Kids A Chance Scholarship Program as well as the Board of Directors and core sponsors for their generosity that has helped make my college education possible. It is my goal to become a Video Game Designer. There is no doubt I will be successful, especially with a supportive benefactor, like you, Mr. McDonough, and the Give Kids A Chance Scholarship Program; my dream will become a reality. Thank you again for all your generosity along with the special gift of hope!
Regards,
Hunter Ian Hart
